.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).

Some Christians assume and believe that prayer produces power. So, they say, “a prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian,” but that’s not stated anywhere in the Bible.
Notice our theme scripture; Jesus didn’t say you’ll receive power after you’ve prayed. I believe in prayer, but prayer doesn’t bring power. Power comes from the Holy Ghost.

Power is the dynamic ability to cause changes. That means we can effect changes in our lives and that of our loved ones, and even in places where we desire to see changes. We’re not supposed to be victims in the earth, but many Christians live as victims; they’re captives of adverse circumstances. But Jesus said you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. Jesus was never a victim, yet many of God’s children have been victims in one way or the other.

1 John 3:2 says, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” When you were born again, you were born as an offspring of God; through the Holy Spirit, you have power. No need to ask Him for power, for the power is already resident in you. All you need to do for the power of God in you to be manifested is to stir it up (2 Timothy 1:6). Glory to God!

                PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the power at work in me, through the Holy Spirit. Nothing is impossible for me, because as I activate the power in me, I bring calmness and order to every situation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY: || Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. ||

|| 2 Timothy 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. ||

|| Ephesians 3:20-21 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him [be] glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. ||
